1 ICSI (urgent) 28 May 2010 0
Dear All, Can anyone help please. Before doing ICSI, I acquire the sperm with the tail. I then enter the egg and aspire some cytoplasm (the sperm usually stays at the end). My problem is that when I release the sperm back into the egg, I see the head of the sperm getting down but I cant see the tail so I cannot know when to stop. How can I know when to stop releasing, because sometimes when I start to remove the needle, the sperm starts moving with me. I am afraid of releasing too much pvp. What shall i do???

Re: MSc at oxford
Hello, I will be doing this course next year (Oct. 2010). The interview was a bit hard but the interviewers were very friendly and make you feel comfortable during the interview. My opinion is, don\'t worry if it is hard or not, just go for it and do your best.
Stefanie Nicolaou

Re: ICSI
I prefer you to use HEPES medium for ICSI, Because there is no pH is needed for HEPES buffer and also its a best buffer too. When you are using fertilization medium, you should complete ICSI within a short period of time. Using HEPES medium is ideal one.
R. KRISHNAMOORTHY Janani Fertility Centre, Trichy

Re: ICSI
Use mops or htf with hepes. They give similar results.
